The Youth+ Africa Festival happened and wow what an experience, this was everything I anticipated and some more!
You could tell the event was about to be special as soon as you got tagged!
The energy, the rooms, the stage, the people, ah, I could already tell that we were about to have an impactful event!
But what really stood out for me were the Villages (whoever came up with that concept, genius!).
Here’s a glimpse of my Day 1 experience:
1️⃣ Wellness Village with Melissa Kioko
We got into a deep dive into mental wellness, healing past traumas and practical ways to prioritize our well-being.
How do you take care of yourself?
2️⃣Storytelling Village by John 'JJ' Jumbi
Stories aren’t just for entertainment; they’re a tool for business, filmmaking, personal branding, everything! I was especially drawn to the 5 stages of a story that I shared on here on Friday (game-changer!).
3️⃣Digital Marketing Village by Nyandia Gachago, ACIM
This was hands-on and I loved it! AI, automation, practical hacks to win in marketing and building influence. What made it more interesting? We were practically searching for these tools during the session, testing how they work and the results they are set to give! One major lesson? Leverage AI! Stop struggling with things you shouldn’t be struggling with.
4️⃣Then came the last masterclass by Ivy Wanjiru on The Power of Asking!
This session? GOLD. A reminder that asking for opportunities is key. Worst case, you get a ‘no.’ Best case? You land the opportunity of a lifetime!
